Alex of The Defined Dish Dishes on Easy Meals to Help Survive the Holidays

The holidays are upon us. Cue the family gatherings, neighborhood get-togethers, and endless holiday parties. With the craze of the season, mealtime can often get neglected and be the last of our worries. We looked to expert foodie and recipe mastermind Alex Snodgrass of The Defined Dish to shed some light on fast, healthy meals to help get us through the madness.

Alex Snodgrass
When Alex Snodgrass isn’t chasing or cleaning up after her two daughters, she’s cooking. She has always had a passion for food and cooking, and grew up helping her mom out in the kitchen as a young girl. In college, she became the girl known for cooking and testing recipes for her roommates and friends.

In 2015, Snodgrass tried the Whole30 diet and became a huge advocate of the healthy program, noting it changed her relationship with food. You’ll find most of her recipes are Whole30/paleo compliant. But, as a native Texan, she still loves big, bold flavors. In her recipes, you can spot her Southern roots, Tex-Mex favorites, and mom’s Italian heritage.

She finds recipe inspiration everywhere she turns — places she travels, restaurants where she dines out, magazines, the web, books, or just hanging out with friends and family.

She is constantly motivated to cook new, unique recipes and adapt them in her kitchen. She believes food is more than just what fuels the body, that it brings joy to our lives through special moments shared with loved ones. Sharing her recipes and passion with others makes her happy, and it’s why she started her blog, The Defined Dish.
